Terms of Service
Version: 1.0 · Last updated: 20 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Competition Hub, the registration, scoring, and event-management platform used to run the competitions listed on this site. By creating an account, registering for a Competition, or otherwise using Competition Hub, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are registering a Team or registering on behalf of another athlete, you confirm you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Using any part of Competition Hub — including browsing Events, creating a Profile, submitting a Registration, checking in at an Event, or accessing the Judge Portal — means you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and our Cookie Policy in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Competition Hub.
2. Eligibility
You must provide accurate and current information when creating a Profile or submitting a Registration, including your name, date of birth, and emergency contact details. Some Divisions have age, membership, or skill-based eligibility criteria set by the event organiser; it is your responsibility to check that you meet the requirements of the Division you register into before completing payment. Competition Hub reserves the right to move, decline, or cancel a Registration that does not meet a Division's published eligibility criteria.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that happens under it, including registrations, team invitations, and any scores or check-ins recorded against your Profile. Please let us know immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Competition Registration
Registrations are submitted through the Competition Hub registration form and are confirmed once the required information has been completed, any applicable waiver has been signed, and payment (where a fee applies) has been successfully processed. Where a Division has limited capacity, your place is not guaranteed until your Registration status shows as approved. Competition Hub and event organisers may operate a waitlist for Divisions that reach capacity.
5. Team Captains & Team Responsibilities
For team-based Divisions, the person who creates the team Registration acts as the Team Captain. The Team Captain is responsible for inviting teammates, ensuring the roster is completed accurately and on time, and communicating event information to the rest of the team. Team Captains are also responsible for the accuracy of information submitted on behalf of teammates who have not yet completed their own profile, including emergency contact details, until each teammate confirms their own information.
6. Payments (Stripe)
Where a Competition has a registration fee, payment is processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Competition Hub does not collect or store your full card number, expiry date, or CVC at any point — these details are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout. Once payment is successfully completed, your Registration status and payment status update automatically and a confirmation email is sent to the address on your Registration.
7. Refund Policy
Refunds, withdrawals, and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read that policy carefully before registering, as registration fees are not automatically refundable in every circumstance.
8. Event Changes
Event organisers may need to change a Competition's date, venue, running order, workouts, or Division structure due to circumstances such as venue availability, weather, safety considerations, or insufficient registrations in a Division. Where reasonably possible, Competition Hub and the event organiser will communicate significant changes to registered athletes using the contact details on file. Competition Hub is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs athletes incur as a result of an event change.
9. Athlete Conduct
Athletes, team members, coaches, and spectators are expected to behave respectfully towards other competitors, volunteers, judges, and event staff. Competition Hub and event organisers may refuse entry, withdraw a Registration, or remove a person from an event (without refund) in response to unsafe conduct, abuse of officials or other competitors, attempts to manipulate scoring, or breach of a Division's published rules.
10. Judges & Scoring
Scores are recorded by judges through the Judge Portal against the heat, lane, and Division an athlete or team is registered into. Judges' decisions on scoring, movement standards, and time caps are final. Competition Hub applies technical safeguards designed to prevent scores from being recorded against withdrawn or deleted registrations, but cannot guarantee that every scoring dispute will be resolved in an athlete's favour — disputes about a specific score should be raised with the event organiser on the day.
11. Intellectual Property
The Competition Hub name, logo, and platform design are the property of Competition Hub and may not be copied or reused without permission. Photos and video captured at events may be used by the event organiser and Competition Hub for promotional purposes such as leaderboards, results pages, and event recaps, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
12. Platform Availability
We work to keep Competition Hub available and reliable, including during live events, but we do not guarantee the platform will be free of interruptions, delays, or errors at all times. Where the platform is unavailable during check-in or scoring, event organisers may fall back to a manual process for that portion of the event.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Competition Hub is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your registration or participation in an event, including travel costs, injury during physical competition, or loss caused by an event change or cancellation. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute arising from your use of Competition Hub will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
15. Contact Information
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@comphub.co.nz, or via our Contact & Support page.
